Diet tips for Advanced Breast Cancer

After I spoke at the PYNKS support group, a dietician who specializes in cancer patients gave a presentation on eating well during chemotherapy. I wasn't able to stick around to hear it, but she gave me a copy of her notes. The main topics were: controlling side effects like nausea and mouth ulcers; good sources of protein and antioxidants; and recipes she thought the women would find particularly useful. The notes are quite detailed, so I'll spread each topic out over several posts. One quick point she made that I'll share here is a way to calculate protein requirement: multiply your weight by 0.75, and that would be about the number of grams of protein you would need daily. As a caveat, the minimum needed daily would be 50g.
