Australian Sports Medicine Conference

Woohoo! I applied to not just present a single poster, but an entire symposium at this year's SMA conference, and I just found out the entire thing got accepted. I'll be chairing the symposium and presenting 3 of the papers. Two of my colleagues, Dr. Caroline Bulsara and Paula Magrani, will also present papers on the work we did last year. In addition, they've added Prof Dennis Taaffe of the University of Newcastle in Queensland.

This is a huge honor for me, and really a bit of a coup, considering that I'm still working on my PhD. I'm pretty stoked.

I'll put the list of publications after the jump. Will only list the first author on the papers, though there are others.
Symposium title: Breast and prostate cancer survivors' experience from treatment through rehabilitation

Bulsara. The gendered experiences of men and women after diagnosis of and treatment for prostate and breast cancer.

Martin.  Improving muscular endurance with the MVe Fitness Chair in breast cancer survivors: a feasibility and efficacy study.

Magrani.  The effects of an individual versus a group delivered exercise and counselling intervention on fatigue in breast cancer survivors

Martin. Feasibility and efficacy of a group exercise and counselling program for breast and prostate cancer survivors

Martin. What men and women want: the experiences of men and women in a group exercise and counselling cancer recovery program

Taaffe. Exercise programming and counselling preferences in men with prostate cancer
