More Support to my Hypothesis

A new study just published their results that I read about in a news article from cancercompas.com. The study examined how men with prostate cancer fared, both in terms of their cancer recurring, spreading, or becoming fatal, and linked it to their physical activity. They separated the men into those who walked briskly (faster than 2 miles per hour) and those who walked easily; additionally they needed to walk for at least 3 hours per week. Those who walked briskly had a 57% lower rate of disease progression. Most important part: “the pace of walking seemed to be more important than the amount of time spent walking. Walking at an easy pace conferred no particular protective benefit against prostate cancer progression.” So going along with what I’ve been saying: intensity of the exercise is key. It’s better to go hard for only 30 minutes a day than to go easy for hours.
