This study surveyed women who had been diagnosed with endometrial (uterine) cancer about their beliefs surrounding exercise. Women who were exercising on a regular basis reported that they exercised because of the immediate emotional and physically boost they got from their session; more chronic benefits, like improved health, were less important to them. The authors concluded that highlighting these enjoyment and immediate benefits to non-exercisers might be a better way to entice them than pushing the health benefits.
