Though Dragon boat racing started in China, I want to say Dragon boat racing as it's associated with breast cancer started in Canada. It’s basically team canoeing, so kind of a cross between crew and white-water rafting.
The Amazons Perth Dragon Boat Club operates out of Maylands Sport and Recreational Club (www.amazonsperth.com.au) if anyone’s interested in joining—they “train” twice a week.
