The purpose of this blog is to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors. This blog hopes to accomplish this goal by publicizing new research on quality of life for cancer survivors and identify programs and strategies that may help cancer survivors accomplish their goals.

New Pilates for Cancer in Scarborough

Elaine Leak is offering a free GENTLE Pilates class at the Scarborough Community Centre through the Cancer Council (details below from their website).

Time: 9.30am - 10.30am
Days: Wednesdays
Venue: Scarborough PCYC Hall (Next to the gym): 173 Gilderclifee Street, Scarborough.
Cost: No charge
Registrations are essential. Contact the Cancer Council Helpline for more information and to register on 13 11 20.
These free pilates sessions are for people with cancer, their carers and family.  Pilates can help you improve fitness, flexibility and overall wellbeing. The practice of pilates can also help you to reduce fatigue and relax.  There is no need for any special skills or prior experience to participate and benefit from these sessions. This group runs for an 8 week period.
