Challenge: Walk to Work Day

The Cancer Council NSW is doing Walk to Work Day as one of their fundraisers, but I think it's a great challenge. From their webpage:

  •  If you can't walk all the way, use public transport and get off the bus, train, tram or ferry a few stops earlier and walk the rest of the way to work.
  • If you must drive, leave the car at least a kilometre from your destination and walk the rest of the way.
  • Take a half-hour walk at lunchtime and where possible use the stairs.
  •  If you are required to sit a lot at work, get up and walk around at least once every hour.
So I challenge everyone to participate: walk to work on Friday, September 16th. Yes, it will require getting up earlier (I'm going to leave about 6:45am to hike the ~12km to Uni), but then you can go to bed earlier and not have to worry about taking time out of your day to exercise!
