- "Nutrition represents the combined activities of countless food substances. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." This is very true. A lot of supposed nutrition studies (and he talks about this as well) only look at one vitamin or food substance in isolation, which isn't going to be able to produce any results. Look here and then here for examples.
- "Vitamin supplements are not a panacea for good health." Ditto
- "There are virtually no nutrients in animal-based foods that are not better provided by plants." Excluding amino acids, but then we're isolating one substance and not looking at nutrition as a whole.
- "Genes do not determine disease on their own. Genes function only by being activated, or expressed, and nutrition plays a critical role in determining which genes, good and bad, are expressed." Refer back to the discussions from The Emperor of All Maladies.
- "Nutrition can substantially control the adverse effects of noxious chemicals."
- "The same nutrition that prevents disease in its early stages (before diagnosis) can also halt or reverse disease in its later stages (after diagnosis)."
- "Nutrition that is truly beneficial for one chronic disease will support health across the board."
- "Good nutrition creates health in all ares of our existence. All parts are interconnected."

Campbell's 8 Principles of Food and Health
I'm about to start reading the back end of The China Study, where he will supposedly outline the secrets to health. I quickly jumped ahead in the reading and copied down Dr. Campbell's 8 Principles of Food and Health. Now, let me put my traditional disclaimer here: I do not endorse this, I am only trying to bring to the public eye information that is out there which is germain to my blog's topic. I'll put what he wrote in quotes, and then highlight my own commentary
