Mission Statement

The purpose of this blog is to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors. This blog hopes to accomplish this goal by publicizing new research on quality of life for cancer survivors and identify programs and strategies that may help cancer survivors accomplish their goals.

workout Feb 21

Today's workout was focusing on active flexibility: using one muscle's force to stretch the opposite muscle (e.g. using quads to stretch hamstrings).

Exercises were:
  1. squat stretch
  2. lunges to stretch hipflexors
  3. more squat stretches with a wider stance
  4. downward facing dog
  5. front, reverse, and side lunges up and down the hill
  6. wide grip push ups on fence
  7. single or double leg bridge
  8. prone glute extension
  9. partner arm runs to loosen up the shoulders
  10. and lastly some body lifts off the floor
