Food for Life

The Cancer Project is a group that specifically investigates the interaction between nutrition and cancer. They offer cooking classes in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington state, Wisconsin, and in the United Kingdom (how's that for wide spread?).

Their classes cover the following themes: meals loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals; high fiber and low fat foods; healthy diary alternatives; and maintaining a healthy weight.

They also publish The Cancer Surivor's Guide, which, like the book, Prescription to Taste I've already discussed, you can download for free or purchase on their website if you want to support their program. The Cancer Survivor's Guide claims to provide
  1. The science behind how a plant-based diet provides cancer-fighting compounds and immune-boosting nutrients that cells need to be healthy
  2.  More than 130 delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes
  3.  A comprehensive list of references and resources for further information on diet and cancer
I'll try to do some of the recipes from this book after I've had enough of Prescription to Taste
