Get REAL & HEEL

The Get REAL & HEEL Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Program is a research project aimed to help women Get Recreation, Get Exercise, Get Active, and Get Living after they've completed their breast cancer treatments. When I talk about it on this blog, I'll refer to it as GR&H.

GR&H was started by Dr. Claudio Battaglini and Dr. Diane Groff in 2006 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since then, the program has helped dozens of women get their lives back on track by providing a free 5 month exercise and recreation therapy course.

If you know anyone living in the Triangle area in North Carolina who is going through or just finished their breast cancer treatment, please tell them to call the GR&H office at (919) 962-1222 and speak to Jennifer, the study coordinator. She will get them started on what may end up being the best choice of their life.

Also, when you go to their website, if you look in the top right corner, you can see a picture of me spotting one of my patients.
