Johns Hopkins on Ovarian Cancer

This is one of their more active websites. Right on the front page they have personal stories, events, and help links. On the left toolbar is the link for their discussion board, which is VERY active.

Some of the other features I'd like to highlight:

• A Q&A section about CA-125,  protein marker used to test for ovarian cancer.
• A fact sheet about what women should know to help prevent or detect ovarian cancer
• An article of important considerations before choosing treatment
• A whole page entitled "Your Emotions", which is an awesome inclusion you don't see in most support sites

 Research for ovarian cancer is very important, because unlike the most common women's cancer--breast--ovarian cancer still has a low survival rate.

Currently, my adviser is working on setting up a research program to examine exercise for women with ovarian cancer. Will report more as she gets it going.
