Book review: Emperor of All Maladies, part 3

This is my copy of The Emperor of All Maladies after I've finished taking all my notes to make the rest of the review posts. It took me over a week of skimming back through to make all these.

I'm going to break the review up into the following sections:
  • discoveries
  • theories
  • legislation, politics, and other events
  • treatment
  • author commentary
  • quotes
But into the meantime, here are a few comments from me (the first one will makes sense after the treatment post_:

  • While radical mastectomies in the Halsteadian sense are no longer performed, the name still lives on for traditional mastectomies
  • Author writes that tamoxifen has “barely any significant side effects”—WTF?
