Continence Aids Payment Scheme

UPDATE: This scheme is not actually available to most prostate cancer survivors, I've found out, because they're not considered to be suffering from life long incontinence. Hopefully in the future something like this will be available.

Here's a very little known program that could be a huge benefit to anyone experiencing incontinence: Australian citizens experiencing incontinence can receive " up to $506.30 which will be indexed annually. Applicants can choose one full payment in July, or two half payments in July and January each year." That can be claimed annually. One of my male patients found out about it for the first time last night, several months after treatment, and he was FURIOUS that his urologist, GP, nurse, or anybody else didn't know a thing about it.
