My research: Pilates for Breast Cancer

I just got the official news that the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport has accepted my article for publication. The article is called Improving muscular endurance with the MVe Fitness Chair in breast cancer survivors: a feasibility and efficacy study, and comes from my Master's thesis at UNC that I did through Get REAL & HEEL. The premise was to compare Pilates exercises using the MVe Fitness Chair with normal weight training in breast cancer survivors to see if it would be effective at improving muscular endurance. While it was not as effective, it still gave the participants a significant improvement in strength, plus it benefited their balance and core stability. Overall, it was a pretty awesome piece of equipment that I enjoyed using for myself as well. I don't have the official citation for my article yet, but will post it when it comes out in about a month.
