Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute

This place is the Mecca of exercise oncology. They literally wrote the book, Exercise and Cancer Recovery. Also, my mentor, Dr. Claudio Battaglini, got his PhD there.

The Rocky Mountain center is located at the University of Northern Colorado, in the town of Greeley.

They are also a research based program, providing individual exercise and diet plans and an AMAZING clinic in which to complete those plans. The program is open to men and women of any cancer diagnosis, and so far they've helped over 1000 people in their community.

Anybody living in the Greeley area who has had cancer NEEDS to take advantage of this program. In fact, even for someone living in Boulder, it would be totally worth the hour drive each way to get to participate in this program.

From their website:
Program components:
  • Medical and cancer histories
  • Physical examination
  • Fitness assessment
  • Development of individualized exercise and dietary prescriptions
  • Individualized exercise intervention programs supervised by cancer exercise specialists
  • Follow-up assessments
How to Access Services:
  1. Call the institute to schedule an appointment at (970) 351-1471 or (970) 351-1876.
  2. If you have multiple or severe medical conditions, you may need participation clearance from your health care provider.
  3. Information will be sent to you to complete before your scheduled appointment.
