Annie Toglia was a private fitness trainer who underwent breast cancer treatment in 1996. She took her professional experience and her new situation and created Staying Abreast to help other women perform exercise to help them recover.
The program provides very slow and gentle progression of exercises over about 10 weeks, divided into 4 phases. On their website, you can see excerpts of the exercises recommended at each phase. In phase 3, they preview 2 particularly excellent stretches for the chest and shoulders that I would recommend for literally anyone.
Like with the YWCA Encore Program, it's aimed at women who've had a particularly brutal course of treatment and have very limited shoulder range of motion. You can purchase the book ($70+tax) which contains the full program at their website, or you can purchase posters (they have a beginners and an advanced, $10+tax each) with some key exercises and stretches.
