Growth of Cancer Rehab in USA
There was a news story on National Public Radio about Dr. Julie Silver, who at the age of 38 was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was told to just go home in rest. Unhappy with the brush off, she started the Survivorship Training and Rehab (STAR) program, an exercise rehab program for cancer survivors. It's now spread across most of USA, and is helping changing things at a public policy level. Dr. Silver is truly an inspiration for other cancer survivors, both as being one and for her work helping fellow humans. To find where a STAR program is being held, follow this link.
